| The
essential difference between registering a Business Name and
registering a company is Limited Liability - Registering a
Business Name does NOT give the operators of the business
the benefits of limited liability - a very important feature
in business which allows the operators of the business to
ring-fence the business as a separate legal entity and safeguards
the operators personal assets.
Also
business names are not Name-Protected by the Companies Office,
that is - anyone can register any name they want. This is
often a reason why many people form a Company as Company Names
are protected by the Companies Office, preventing other people
from registering a company under the same name.
Registering
a Business Name through ourselves costs € 85 plus VAT
(Total € 98.65).
